The Beaufort Park Hotels Sous Chef Luke Anderson wins Flintshire Chef of the Year 2010
During this years fantastic Mold and Food Drink Festival Luke Anderson Sous Chef at the Beaufort Park Hotel proudly won the Flintshire Chef of the Year competition sponsored by Deeside College.
Tested on Knife skills, Hygiene, presentation and taste Luke had 60 minutes to prepare and cook two courses in a live cook off on the demonstration stage at the festival.
Luke’s inventive dishes proved popular with the judges. To start a mouth watering homemade Saffron infused Ravioli, filled with Welsh Goats cheese and Roasted Butternut Squash served with a Sage and Pancetta sauce. Straight to the piece de resistance, a main course of Pot Roasted Welsh Lamb Rump served with a Celeriac and Puy Lentil Rosti drizzled with a Leek and Mint Jus.
Judges Brain Mellor, Graham Tinsley and Andrew Richards crowned Luke Flintshire Chef of the Year on Sunday 26th September 2010 for his delicious 2 course meal. But don’t just take their word for it; Luke’s award winning pot roasted Lamb dish is on the Arches bar menu at The Beaufort Park Hotel.

Luke and our head chef Ian Hughes are closely working together in creating some brilliant new dishes to put on our restaurant and bar menus.
