Beaufort Park hotel nominated for achievement Wales Tourism award 2010

Beaufort Park Hotel has this year worked on promoting North Wales as a tantalizing tourist destination. From hosting and organising a showcase extravaganza for 60 group travel organisers to creating the North Wales working hotel group, a focus group of hotel owners and managers working together to enhance the profile of not just their proprieties but the area of attractions we have to offer. This is a major sales opportunity for the tourism industry in North Wales; all attractions and organisations that participate are set to benefit. The number of tourists who visit the area is already impressive, but we think we can bolster those figures with an extra 20,000 visitors a year – 20,000 visitors who stay in hotels and spend locally, providing jobs and feeding money into the local economy says Sue Warnock Business Manager at Beaufort Park hotel.

After the success of both the Familrisation visit and the North Wales hotel working group, the team at Beaufort Park Hotel found it fitting to enter The Daily Post Achievement Wales 2010 competition for the Tourism Award. These awards are amongst the most prestigious in North and mid Wales and are a perfect way to celebrate the efforts made in promoting our area as a tourist destination.

An application was made back in September in the bid to bag this brilliant award and in October we were notified that are application had been nominated for the final three. “We are absolutely thrilled to have been whittled down to the final three alone is a fantastic achievement” says Sue.
