Last week, Beaufort Park Hotel was delighted to welcome the chairwoman of Flintshire County Council, Cllr Carolyn Thomas, to host a charity dinner dance. The event was a great success, attracting 200 people and raising more than £6,500 for a number of worthy causes.
Along with dinner, entertainment was provided by fabulous folk band, The Cheesecutters, and Welsh tenor, John Pierce. The evening also included a raffle and auction, followed by a disco hosted by Holywell country councillor Joe Johnson.
Cllr Thomas said: “It was a great event and everyone enjoyed themselves. The whole thing was really well supported and the money will go to help some great causes.” She added: “The hotel did an excellent job; the food was delicious and the staff did really well getting everything out for us.”
The charities that will benefit from the fund raising evening are Nightingale House Hospice, Cancer Research UK and the Mold League of Friends.
