We've come up with a list of five fantastic things to do this Father's Day...
1. A morning walk up Moel Famau
Whether it's cracking the flags or not, a walk up Moel Famau is an energetic way to start your dad’s special day. Perhaps this could inspire your Father’s Day gift – walking boots, sunglasses, or even a hip flask?! If you or your dad are less keen on the incline of Moel Famau, or prefer a shorter stroll, why not take a leisurely walk at along the beautiful wooded river valley of Loggerheads.
2. Sightseeing and coffee in Chester
Take a stroll around this beautiful city, taking in all of the sights including the Roman Amphitheatre, the 1000 year old cathedral and 700 year old unique shopping rows.
3. Sunday Lunch at the Beaufort Park Hotel
Split your day with a delicious Father’s Day lunch at the Beaufort Park Hotel. With a choice between one, two or three mouth-watering courses, lunch is being served from 12.30pm until 4pm.
4. Afternoon at Ellesmere Port Boat Museum
At the historic, seven-acre site of the canal docks in Ellesmere Port, the National Waterways Museum is a fantastic afternoon out for your dad if he'd be interested in perusing large collections of boats and a museum of traditional clothing, painted canal ware and tools.
5. An evening at Theatr Clwyd
How about a film screening of Lady Macbeth on Sunday evening or watch two new original performances the night before with The Fat Lady Sings in Little Grimley & Loss, a comedy by David Tristram and new dramatic work by local writer, Bill Snell.
